Progress in Mobile Phones Technology

Mobile phones have become everyone’s need. Sure, we've met the situation of forgetting our passwords or PIN codes. They also can be easily stolen or shared, that's why the scientists have innovated new mobile software for “face recognition."

It's a sophisticated software used in mobile cameras to recognize faces, not in the familiar manner that  gives only approximate facial scale and position, but it tracks some facial features such as nose, eyes , jaw lines, etc…..

Now, the question here is how this can be done??

The front camera in your mobile phone records a video for your face tracking 22 landmark points of your face. That makes face recognition more accurate.

It's known that face recognition already exists in laptops and digital cameras, but this is the first time for that technology to be introduced to mobile phones.

This video shows how can the camera tracks your features whether there's a motion or not, rotation or not, and in addition to automatic re-initialization.

From my point of view, this way is much better than using passwords or long PIN codes, as it provides higher security than codes that may be forgotten or stolen. It’s really a brilliant idea!
