Light and Photography
Light is considered the main aspect of photography. It helps create the atmosphere of the picture. That is why
exposure is considered one of the true talent and distinctive feature of photography. Exposure is when the photographer has to control how much light hits the sensor and for how long.
When it comes to photography light is considered to have qualities of its own. It can be hard, for example, high noon in a sunny day, and it can be soft, for example, sunset or sunrise.
There are several types of light a photographer can work with, for example, back light. Back light is usually used to create silhouettes. It is important to use story telling shape because recognizable details are important in verifying the subject of the photographer.
Another type is side light which is a light comes from the side. Generally, it produces a distinct high light. In side light pictures, there is always shadow because of the light's steep angle to the subject. Usually, this type of picture highlights one side and drops the other of its subject to shadow, which in turn gives the steeple some volume and dimension, for example, trees.
