The past few months, the Android software revolution has swept over the country, with various unique applications that made its break through pretty easy.

Android is an operating system for smart phones and tablet computers developed by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google in 2005, but its distribution didn't start until November 2007. The incorporation was originally founded in California back in October 2003, but Google bought it in August 2005 making it one of the most developed operating systems for smart phones.

 

 

Android operating system is known for its java and streaming media support and also multiple language support.

One of the most poplar applications of android mobile phones is the WhatsApp Messenger, an application that enables androiders to contact and send each others messages, pictures, audio notes, and video messages all 

for free for their first year. It's the users' best reviewed application with 276191 users rating it with 5 stars There are two versions of this application, Version 2.6.8990 which has further improvement to message reliability and speed and Version 2.6.8881 which has various message improvements related to power saver mode and background data and also removing the upgrade button in settings.

Not only the WhatsApp is what makes people dig android software more than any other, there are also multiple applications and games that make android phones more fun. Some of the top games for android phones are the Angry Birds and the Fruit Ninja, which androiders enjoy playing everyday.

 

Android had many releases along its years of distribution like, 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.0 Honeycomb, 3.1 Honeycomb, and 3.2 Honeycomb, but its latest release was the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, announced on October 19, 2011, it added new features including unlocking the mobile by facial recognition, network data usage monitoring and control, unified social networking contacts, photography enhancements, offline email searching, and also sharing information using near field communication (NFC).

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is the latest releases of android operating systems available to phones;it was released on 14th of November 2011 and became available for public on 17th of November 2011 with the release of Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

People can only wait more for android to dazzle them while enjoying its marvelous applications in the android market, which android had made especially for its users to install many of its applications for free.
