By looking to Facebook you’ll find it become an addiction to the most of us. It takes most of the time we spend on the internet. Many people check their Facebook account many times a day to keep in touch with their friends, check messages or may run a small online business. So, most of the famous mobile brands offers you a bookmark for fast & easy access to Facebook. Also the popular (MSN) messenger enables you to open your Facebook chat besides chatting with your Hotmail.

Skype -the most effective chatting application I’ve ever used- realized that it serves its users many unique options, but it lacks any options related to Facebook. A new version of Skype5.5 was released lately. It contains a Facebook integration that gives you useful features to log into Facebook while using your ordinary Skype.
The new Skype5.5 is only available for windows. It enables you to send messages to your friends on Facebook & chat with them easily. You can update your status & participate in many Facebook activities. Keep up to date with the new feeds & post directly on your wall. At Skype’s home tab, click (the Facebook friends link) & write on their walls.

There is a little bit annoying defect at this version of Skype. You should refresh the Facebook regularly to see any new feeds or posts as the Skype5.5 doesn’t auto-refresh the Facebook tab unlike any web browser. This problem appears also while commenting on a certain post. This may not be a big deal if you only want to keep eyes on your wall. It is not preferred to use Skype5.5 as a Facebook browser if you are involved in many conversations & activities through FB.

In addition to the deep new integration of Facebook in Skype application, we can’t forget the other interesting services that Skype offers to its users.  When you hold an online meeting, you can make a group chat with many members & if a certain member came late, he can read all what you have written before he comes. Also the chats between you & any friend are saved & viewed at each time you start chat with him again.

Voice & video chatting are amazing through Skype. The (share screen) option enables you to view a friend’s desktop & see what he/she is doing. This feature is effective when you are working on a project with a friend or illustrating something to each other. If you have some friends that don’t have Skype, they can call you from mobile phones & land lines. This option called (online numbers)& it is available at nearly 20 countries.
