"Loading... Tech @ Future" is the 7th annual student conference, held by the 1st year students of computer engineering department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
The conference itself is held as a practical exercise within the scope of the course "communication & presentation skills", after being suggested upon the head of computer Engineering Department, and had been warmly welcomed.
In this conference, the first year students of computer engineeringpresented their ideas regarding the latest and most effective technologies, and their impact on our society in the future.
An overall View:
Magnology was invited to cover this conference and since this moment we entered the conference and witnessed a great organizing and a helpful reception. The conference included a variety of topics about the new technologies presented by the first year students of computer engineering department, all the topics were interesting and beneficial.
The conference was divided into three sessions
The first session included the following topics
- Nanotechnology in computer industry.
- Morph concept with new application.
- Holographic technology.
- Self-Rechargeable mobiles.
- Green computers.
Then we had a nice break and we got back to continue with presenters
Second session included:
- Motion Capturing.
- Data transfer using light.
- Micro Robots in medicine.
- Cancer Treatment.
- Wi-Tricity.
And before the second session end we got a great presentation from Microsoft preventative Mr. John "career In IT"
He talked about how to decide on your own career and some important steps we have to consider. Firstly we have to follow our passion, and then take a solid step towards our passion as we have firstly manage doing something perfectly then we can move up. Secondly, he talked about self conscious and how much important we have to know what we need, not what people need from us and then to have the courage to follow it.
He stressed on the importance of doing what we want and never be afraid of challenge, then he mentioned the importance of networking as it expands ones experience and knowledge (people have to get out of their comfort zone to discover their passion and needs more). Finally, he ended that the decision is between our hands we have to know our passion, look for it, follow it and be responsible enough to take the decision and go for it.
Mr. John ended with the phrase, "Do your best and GOD will do the rest!!"
After this great presentation we got another break, and then we started again but this time Dr. Amr Adly honored the conference with his precious attendance for one of the presentations to encourage students and then he left.
The third session included the following:
Magnology word and
- Expressing Emotions for Blinds
- The power of animals

- Driver Assistance Systems
- Mind Reading Technology
- Gestural Interface
Those topics were extremely interesting and beneficial; students used a variety of ways to present their topics and made it easy for other students to understand the technology they took about. That was quite interesting as some used videos, some others started to explain with simple examples which made their topic more interesting.
This great conference was a result of the course "communication and presentation skills" and in fact students showed great abilities in research, presentation skills, Team work and creativity.
The conference was concluded with a word for the vice president and then Dr. Nevin M. Darwish started to give her feedback on the presentations.
